Using DMSO as an extraction medium also offers additional benefits. It has a higher solubility capacity, meaning more active compounds are extracted than with alcohol-based tinctures. It also dissolves individual compounds more completely. As a result, a significantly lower recommended intake is sufficient. DMSO stands for Dimethyl Sulfoxide.
