Alcohol-free and broad spectrum of dissolved constituents

For DMSO plant extracts, DMSO is used as the extraction solvent instead of alcohol. Only pharmaceutical-grade DMSO is used. The DMSO plant extract is alcohol-free and therefore contains 0.0% alcohol.

DMSO as an extraction medium has several additional advantages. It has a higher dissolving capacity, meaning that more constituents are extracted than with alcoholic extracts. It also dissolves individual constituents more completely. As a result, a significantly lower recommended intake applies.

DMSO is the abbreviation for dimethyl sulfoxide. DMSO plant extracts are also referred to as DMSO tinctures. To avoid confusion, the Urdrogerie uses the term “DMSO plant extract.”

Constituents of the plant

Mugwort contains a rich array of bioactive compounds, including essential oils such as cineole and thujone. It is also rich in flavonoids, tannins, and bitter compounds.
